The Anthem of Scotland In Scotland, there is no official national anthem. The title of the unofficial anthem claim a few songs. One of these songs is «Scotland the Brave» (author Cliff Handley), but her words almost nobody knows. People can be considered an anthem song folk group The Corries - «The Flower of Scotland», written in 1967 by Roy Uiliamsonom. It was this song is played when the Scottish rugby team takes the field. Regularly raises the issue that the country needs a new national anthem, as the word «Scotland the Brave» No one has never seen in the country, and «Flower of Scotland» describes the historical events of the distant past (the victory over the British in 1314), and today Scotland does not apply.
