The musical score of the film was written by English composer Adrian Johnston. To prepare melodies, he reviewed music books that had belonged to the Austen family
Irish costume designer Eimer Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh designed the clothing seen in the film. She attempted to create a different style of costumes than had been seen in recent Austen adaptations, and drew inspiration from the fashions of the 1790s
The world premiere of Becoming Jane took place in
      London on 5 March 2007. It was released to cinemas 
      on 9 March 2007 in the United Kingdom and a week
