The Senate is composed of deputies, representing in the order established by the constitutional law, two persons from each region, a city of republican significance and the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Fifteen deputies of the Senate are appointed by the President of the Republic, taking into account the need to ensure representation in the Senate of the national cultural and other significant interests of the society.
