What is global warming? Global warming and climate change are terms for the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and its related effects. Scientific understanding of global warming is increasing. More than 95% certain that global warming is mostly being caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases and other human activities. Even each of us can make a little effort to help our planet.

Tell family and friends that energy efficiency is good for their homes and good for the environment because it lowers greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.
