Alexander was born and spent his childhood in Nizhny Tagil. From a young age he was a very active child, so the parents decided to send their son to the hockey section. Also a huge impact on Alexander had his older brother, Igor Radulov, who is also a professional hockey player. The first coach of the future champion was Alexander Weingardt, it was he who noticed the great potential in the boy.

In mid-2004, Radulov decided to move to the NHL. The draft was chosen by the Nashville Predators club. At home, at this point, the hockey player was the winner of the World Junior Championships and one of the best scorers in the country.
Alexander Radulov twice participated in the World Junior Championships. He became one of the famous players who took part in a grand match against the Canadians.

Junior career

October 28, 2005 in a match with "Drummondville Votilzhurs" (11: 3) Radulov set a club record for performance, issued a hex-trick (6 goals) and scored 7 points per game. On March 19, 2006, in a match with "Rimuski Oceanian" (16: 3), he broke his record, issued a sept-trick (7 goals) and made 4 assists. With his club, he became a finalist of the playoffs (President's Cup) and the owner of the Memorial Cup.
Radulov became the top scorer of the regular season - 152 points (61 + 91, the club record for each of the indicators) and the playoffs - 55 points (21 + 34, club record and the second result in the history of the league). In addition, he became the best scorer of the Memorial Cup.
In the 2005/2006 season he set another club record - he scored points in 50 games in a row. This is the second result in the history of the league after Mario Lemieux (62).
